- Scope of application of this data privacy statement
This data privacy statement concerns personal data of potential and actual customers who are natural persons, and all other natural persons who are in contact with us, such as representatives or employees of legal persons, but also visitors to our website and persons who become registered, for example to receive our newsletter..
- Data processing
Personal data are information relating to your identity. This includes, for example, details such as your name, address, telephone number or email address. The data processing takes place for the execution of the contract and to fulfil legal requirements. We process data from potential customers to protect our legitimate interests and/or to initiate a contract.
Data processing when you visit our website: On the whole you can visit our website without leaving your personal details, for example if you only want to find out about us and access the relevant pages. These accesses to our website and every time a file stored on our website is selected are logged and stored for no more than 7 days. This storage serves for our internal system-related and statistical purposes. We log the name of the file accessed, the date and time at which it was accessed, the data quantity transmitted, the notification that access was successful, the web browser and the requesting domain. However we do not communicate any personal data, as visitors’ IP addresses are recorded only in abbreviated (anonymised) form.
Further data processing: In certain cases we require further details such as your name and address so that we can process your enquiry or provide a service you wish to receive. These further personal data are only collected and stored if you provide these details voluntarily, such as when you submit a request or registration.
Processing by service providers: We also work with other companies, including hosting service providers (Internet, email) and telephone service providers.
- Cookies
When you visit our website we will deposit information on your computer in the form of cookies. These are small text files which are sent to your browser by a web server and stored on your computer’s hard disk.
These cookies are session cookies, which are only valid until the end of your session. We use these cookies to analyse visitor behaviour on our website with Google Analytics. For this we have ensured that our visitors’ IP addresses are abbreviated and thus anonymised. Naturally you can also look at our website without cookies. You have the option of disabling the storage of cookies at any time by selecting “Block all cookies” in your browser settings. Please consult your browser manufacturer’s instructions to find out how this works in detail.
- SSL encryption
Our website uses SSL encryption when our users’ confidential or personal data are being transmitted. This encryption is activated, for example, when payment transactions are being processed or for enquiries you send to us via our website. Please note that during the relevant activities the SSL encryption is activated from your side. The use of this encryption is easy to recognise: your browser line will change from displaying “http://” to “https://”. Data encrypted by SSL cannot be read by third parties. You should only transmit your confidential information when SSL encryption is activated. In the event of doubt please contact us.
- Links
This data privacy statement extends only to the content of our website, and not to websites which can be accessed using external links. When we provide links we make every effort to ensure that these also meet our standards of data protection and security, but we have no influence on other providers’ compliance with the data protection and security provisions. You should therefore also read the data privacy statements of the other providers on their websites.
- Right to confirmation
Every person affected by the processing of their personal data can request confirmation of whether personal data concerning them are processed.
- SStorage, erasure
Personal data which we have stored are erased strictly on the expiry of the statutory retention periods.
Personal data which we have stored will also be erased if you withdraw your consent to their being stored and there is no other legal basis for our doing this, if your consentis no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose pursued by such storage, or if storing these data is not permitted for other legal reasons, unless the statutory retention periods prevent erasure. In this case instead of erasing the data, we will restrict the processing (disabling).
Your personal data which we have stored will also be erased if your data have been unlawfully processed or have to be erased to comply with the legal requirements. If erasure is not feasible, or involves disproportionate effort, instead of erasing the data we will restrict the processing.
- Access, information and rectification
You can request access to your personal data concerning which we have processed. On written request we will be pleased to provide you with information on the personal data concerning you which we have stored. We are unable to guarantee total data security in email communications, so when confidential information is involved we recommend communicating by De-Mail (a German e-government communications service) or by post. If the data concerning you are not or no longer accurate, you can request that we rectify them. If the data concerning you are incomplete, you can request that we complete them. If we have forwarded data concerning you to third parties, we will inform these third parties that we have corrected them insofar as this is prescribed by law.
- Restriction of processing of personal data
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing (blocking) of your personal data if one of the following reasons applies:
• If you contest the accuracy of the personal data and we have had an opportunity to verify the accuracy.
• If the processing is unlawful and instead of erasure of your personal data you request the restriction of their use.
• If we no longer need your data for the purposes of the processing, but require them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
• If you have objected to the processing, until it is verified whether your legitimate grounds override ours. - Right to data portability

- Right to withdraw your consent to data processing
Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time.
